With Humans of New York, Brandon Stanton has shown how captivating the stories of everyday New Yorkers can be. Initialized Capital co-founder Alexis Ohanian will lead a conversation with Stanton about how the project has evolved over its nine years.

Nicolas Heller (@newyorknico) will present a selection of his New York City documentaries, followed by a Q&A with the director.

Join Uli Beutter Cohen, creator of Subway Book Review (@subwaybookreview), and Kamau Ware, founder of the Black Gotham Experience (@blackgotham), for a conversation on the topic of “moving forward” as creative activists in 2020 and beyond. The conversation will be followed by an open dialogue.

In an age of overwhelming choice, the panelists will reflect on how they make choices that help them remain connected to the world around them, surround themselves with beauty, and create inspiring environment. Moderated by Lauri London Freedman, head of product development at the Whitney Museum, the panel will feature Isolde Brielmaier of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Farris Wahbeh of the Whitney, and electroviolinist Margot of The Dolls.
