About Atoms

Atoms is an innovation-driven sneaker company, focused on creating the best everyday shoes in the world. We obsess over comfort, material innovation, and timeless design— for long walks, standing and travel, not just looks. We’re profitable on a unit level, Venture and customer-backed brand growing organically through great products and community.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-obsessed Supply Chain & Operations Manager to lead footwear production planning, costing, supplier communication, and inventory optimization across our supply chain. You’ll work closely with our footwear studio, our team in Asia, logistic partners and a sourcing contractor. This is a foundational role with high visibility and impact, reporting directly to the CEO.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end production calendars, factory communication, and delivery timelines

  • Build strong relationships with overseas factories (Asia-based) to manage orders, costs, and quality

  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to negotiate pricing, optimize COGS, and improve contribution margins

  • Develop demand forecasts and run supply-demand analysis to support inventory decisions

  • Build scalable systems for tracking samples, PO flow, costing sheets, and logistics

  • Troubleshoot issues such as production delays, quality concerns, and shipping backups

  • Work cross-functionally with product development, marketing, design, and our global partners

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Have 4–7 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or operations in footwear or consumer product startups

  • Have managed overseas vendors and timelines (Asia experience preferred)

  • Can work across time zones, tools (Google Suite, Notion, Excel, Slack), and imperfect data

  • Understand unit economics, BOMs, and how to move the margin needle

  • Enjoy building systems and solving real-world operational puzzles

  • Are entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable being the ‘team of one’ when needed

Bonus Points

  • Experience in footwear, fashion, or accessories manufacturing

  • Worked at a high-growth startup or an early-stage consumer brand

  • Knowledge of sustainability in sourcing or logistics

  • Experience optimizing lead times and landed costs

What We’re Not Looking For

  • Candidates who have only worked in large corporations with rigid systems and no startup exposure

  • Professionals with purely logistics or warehouse backgrounds (e.g., last-mile delivery at Amazon)

  • Candidates who have never worked with overseas factories or managed supplier relationships

  • Candidates who prefer to follow existing processes rather than build their own

  • People who struggle with ambiguity, shifting priorities, or fast decision-making

Compensation

  • Salary: $90,000 – $115,000/year (depending on experience and location)

  • Equity: 0.25% – 0.50% via stock options
You’ll be joining an early team building a long-term, independent brand. We’re offering meaningful equity to reflect your ownership in this journey.

Why Join Atoms?

You’ll be part of a team that’s doing things differently. We’ve raised from thoughtful investors, stayed profitable at the unit level, and built a brand customers love—all without compromising on craft. This is a chance to shape how innovative physical products are made in a smarter, leaner, and more human way with less carbon emission.
