Dear friends of Atoms,

Waqas and Sidra here, wanted to send you all a quick update on how we are making changes to ensure the safety of our team and broader Atoms community, as well as do our part in stopping the spread of the virus to the public.

While we are continuing to ship regular orders, most of our team is working from home. Our fulfillment associates are following recommended best practices. Each team member is working at least 6 feet away from each other, and we have increased the frequency of workstation and communal area disinfecting, and have instituted mandatory sterilization and hand washing upon re-entry to the warehouse. We will ship all Atoms order within 5 business days. 

All returns have been isolated, disinfected and bagged, and will be placed under a 10-day quarantine to prevent any person-to-person spreading. This means that our normal time to process refunds will be extended.

Atoms are manufactured in South Korea. All of our existing inventory arrived at our Brooklyn warehouse several weeks before the first case of COVID-19 was reported in Korea and the US. Our next inbound shipment has been at sea for 30+ days (SARS-CoV-2 is no longer active after 9 days) and will be picked up directly and quarantined upon arrival to avoid cross-contamination.

The Brooklyn Navy Yard office is also going to be closed to all non-essential personnel. Local customers will have to place orders online until further notice.
